Greentec Energy Latin America is seeking a Solar Project Engineer to join our growing team to lead the development and implementation of Solar Farm Projects in Panama, LATAM, and the Caribbean. As a solar project engineer, your role involves the design, development, and implementation of solar energy projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of solar farm installations and maximizing their energy production efficiency.

Here are some key responsibilities and tasks associated with this role:

• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine the viability and suitability of solar farm projects (mainly in LAC)
• Oversee and designate the appropriate resources for projects, define client needs, address client concerns, and manage engineering resources within budget
• Manage permits and regulatory compliance, navigate the regulatory framework, and obtain necessary permits and approvals for the solar farm projects
• Ensure timely delivery, quality control, and adherence to project specifications.
• Establish a comprehensive operations and maintenance plan
• Continuously monitor the solar farm’s performance, analyzing energy production data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing optimization strategies

Overall, your role combines engineering expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of renewable energy systems to successfully deliver solar farm projects from concept to operation energy savings opportunities and provide technical support on planning initiatives, strategies, and policies that contribute to the Greentec strategy.

Your qualification:

• BA/BS in Solar/ Electrical/Mechanical/Environmental/Civil Engineering or a related field from a well-known University.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in designing and developing solar farms and projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, including PV technology, electrical systems, and grid integration.
• Project management skills, including organization, planning, and time management.
• Understanding of permitting processes and regulatory compliance for solar energy projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities for identifying and addressing technical challenges.
• Familiarity with renewable energy market trends and policy developments.
• Willingness to travel and work away as required.
